Save the date: AI4AL Final Event at the ALL DIGITAL Summit 2024 in Madrid on 17 October!

AI4AL is delighted to invite you to its final event to take place on 17 October within the ALL DIGITAL Summit 2024: Summit of Engaged Digital Citizenship in Madrid.

Starting on Tuesday 15 October at the Caixa Forum Madrid and continuing for the following two days at La Nave Madrid (La Nave Boetticher), the summit is co-hosted by ALL DIGITAL and its Spanish member Fundación Esplai.

On the final day of the summit, AI4AL partners will be addressing the summit participants with a keynote speech and a panel discussion, which will be followed by two workshop sessions aiming at an interactive exchange with adult educators offering hands-on experience of our project’s tools and resources supporting adult educators in their journey to integrate AI in their daily
practices:

  • Engagement kit with a methodology for adult educators for mindful adoption of AI technologies in their practices,
  • AI4AL Matching tool to match skills of learners with learning opportunities and job profiles that is currently being tested by adult educators.
  • A training toolkit and self-paced learning path for adult educators to integrate AI in their daily practice and learn how they can use the AI4AL matching tool.

ABOUT THE SUMMIT OF ENGAGED DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP

ALL DIGITAL Summit and the Digital Rights Forum join forces to organise the Summit of Engaged Digital Citizenship taking place in Madrid on 15-17 October. 

Through this joint initiative, ALL DIGITAL and Fundacion Esplai aim to maximise the engagement of both networks and stakeholders, build synergies between different actors with common views and ensure greater success for both organisations. The ALL DIGITAL Summit is celebrating its 17th edition, while Fundación Esplai and the Red Conecta Platform are taking advantage of the same dates and location to organise the 2nd Digital Rights Forum.

The title of the event ‘Summit of Engaged Digital Citizenship’ and its slogan “Connecting for an informed and conscious society” have been identified as key concepts and elements underlying some of the key actions promoted by ALL DIGITAL and Fundación Esplai Ciudadanía Comprometida for the development of society. It refers to the responsibility and active engagement of individuals in relation to their behavior and participation in the digital environment. It involves not only having the digital competences, but also acting in an ethical, respectful and conscious manner. Committed digital citizenship implies being a responsible and active citizen in the digital world, promoting a safe, critical and environmentally sustainable online environment, and equal opportunities in the digital world.

Through the provision of digital skills to all member of the population, our common mission is to develop skilled citizens, who are knowledgeable of the options and possibilities offered by the digital transformation, and self-aware of their needs, rights and capacity to actively engage to adapt to the fast-paced technological challenges and therefore to be fully included in society.

The Summit for Engaged Digital Citizenship is going to include high-level keynote speeches, participatory panels, educational workshops, insightful lightning talks, interactive makerspace, informative sessions, and a Digital Village of exhibitors. The sessions will be based on crucial topics within 4 streams:

1. Fostering the Digital Society
2. Educating on Media Literacy, Data and AI
3. Making the case for European Digital Rights, Online Safety and Digital Wellbeing 4. Empowering Digital Social Innovation

Themes such as digital social innovation, well-being, digital rights, cybersecurity ethics, sustainability, environment, media, AI and data literacy will be covered by the Summit as we wish to offer a comprehensive overview of what are the factors, conditions and enablers that allow an individual to become/consider themselves a digital citizen.

Policymakers, digital education stakeholders, civic society and industry representatives will gather in Madrid to get the latest insights on policy actions, innovation and projects related to digital citizenship, skills, education, and upskilling/reskilling. The Summit will provide interesting networking opportunities for 300 participants in a dynamic, idea-driven context.
