AI4AL Multiplier event in Germany

As part of the EU project AI4AL, Pro Arbeit organised a successful multiplier event entitled “The future of labour market placement – AI in use for labour market integration”. The event focused on the changes of the way we work, presented the use of artificial intelligence for new opportunities to identify the individual strengths and potential of jobseekers and position them in the labour market in a targeted manner.

With the presentation of the EU project Artificial Intelligence 4 Adult Learning (AI4AL), all participants were informed about the project objectives and the necessity of the topic before the matching tool was presented in detail. The possibilities of using AI-based tools are far-reaching and must be managed responsibly. To give an idea of the topic, further options for using AI were presented in general.

By using the matching tool, which was created in the EU project AI4AL, individual strengths can be recognised, suitable professions suggested and the entire application process optimised. This AI based on the European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations Classification (ESCO) is a project result that can be used for labour market placement in the future. There were many job coaches and employers on site who expressed their interest in the tool.

Not only was the tool demonstrated, but also the implementation process for creating the tool was presented. During implementation, several meetings and test formats were held by job coaches and beneficiaries of Pro arbeit with customisation. The constant exchange and customisation were an essential part of today’s finished project result.

During the event, a QR code was shared for the use of Mentimeter so that all participants could write down their questions. These questions were then answered after the presentation of the project and the matching tool, as well as its implementation. This resulted in a lively discussion that reflected the interest in the project and its results. Participants were offered the opportunity to use the tool and enquiries were sent to those responsible by email after the event.

The multiplier event was a success, not only because of the interest of the participants, but also because of the acceptance of the project results and the possible use of the matching tool in the Pro Arbeit organisation and probably others. Discussions on this are currently underway so that the project results can be embedded sustainably in the organisations and can also be used for other institutions.
