SkillLab’s AI4AL Webinar Showcasing Project Results and Creative Applications of AI4AL Matching Tool

On February 26th, 2025, SkillLab held a multiplier event in a webinar format to disseminate the outcomes of the AI4AL project to its network. The event attracted 35 registrants from 13 countries, including adult educators, private education providers, and representatives of governmental agencies responsible for education and employment.

The webinar was opened with a concise introduction to artificial intelligence (AI), featuring illustrative examples of AI tools within educational context and an explanation of recommender systems. The recommender system, a popular AI system, forms the foundation of the AI4AL Matching Tool. With a foundational understanding of AI established, participants engaged in a 40-minute demonstration of the AI4AL Matching Tool, encompassing both the learner’s app and the educator’s portal. Attendees were challenged to pinpoint the recommender system’s implementation within the tool, a task they successfully accomplished. Subsequently, the webinar explored creative use cases of the Matching Tool, derived from the pilot phase. In the concluding segment, SkillLab showcased the AI4AL Engagement Kit, the Self-Paced Training Path, and a succinct guide to accessing the AI4AL Matching Tool.

The webinar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants engaged in a discussion about the AI4AL project and its outcomes. Several attendees raised insightful questions regarding strategies for implementing the tool with learners possessing limited digital literacy, and exploring avenues to broaden the tool’s scope to encompass less common fields within adult education. Overall, the webinar successfully created a space for collaborative learning and dialogue among stakeholders passionate about leveraging AI in adult education.
